Is Anyone Watching?

Character is said to be who we are, even when we think no one else is watching. Very few are under constant supervision in the workplace, so it is your character that determines your behavior when others are not around. Will you be diligent, or lazy? Will you be loyal, or unfaithful? Will you be sensitive, or rude? Will you be responsible, or unreliable?

Here are some specific points to consider as you seek to build character in your life:

• Be productive, especially when your supervisor is not present.
• Do your very best, even when your work may not be closely evaluated.
• Treat others as you would like to be treated, regardless of who they are.
• When you are wrong, quickly admit it and quit it.
• Go the extra mile to make others more successful.
• Take care of company equipment and vehicles.
